On Bike Cam - Friends Recommendation
« on: May 21, 2011, 05:21:47 PM »

Hi All

Was out with my mate yesterday who rides a BMW1000R and goes to the IOM every year, was chatting about on bike cams and he recommends this one....

http://www.minidvcam.co.uk/store/viewItem.asp?idProduct=70

Not sure if any of you guys have ever heard of it, but it's small (smaller than Go-Pro) and can mount it most places.

I have the Go-Pro HD so not in the market for one as it's price is equivalent.

Just thought some of you may be interested.  :headbang:

Looks good that, albeit a copy of the Drift HD170.

I have ordered a Drift HD170 Stealth (birthday present from the mrs) and really looking forward to getting it.  I was very tempted with the Contour HD GPS which has GPS tech that will show the video, alongside a map showing where you were.  It does also show speed etc (so may want to be careful when posting).

I've been thinking about mounting points too.  I have Wheeltrax Fast Mount which is brilliant, but want something a little more stealthy.  I was thinking of perhaps cutting a panel out of the screen at the bottom which I could then slide the camera into.  Would sit on the top of the front fairing behing the clocks??

Ahhhhhhhhh..

Didn't think it was a 'copy' just another of their models...

I was looking at the stealth model too, but haven't used the Go-pro that much since I bought it so would be a waste of money at the moment.

Taking the Go-Pro on the Ring tour so looking forward to the results.  :headbang:
