helmet choices???
« on: March 22, 2011, 06:49:03 AM »

ok this ones quite simple, im in the market for a new lid but thought i might have a look about before probably spending a whole lotta cash on a rx7 or something of the like,

so tell me what lid do you guys wear and how do you rate it? i was looking at hjc and was wondering well if it good enough for ben spies then it could be good enough for me?

Shoei X11.......9/10. It's quieter than my last Arai RX7 and changing the visor now is just too easy.

Ive been wearing shark since i started riding.. I did try an AGV once, but it didnt fit me very well. Its all about the fit in my opinion, everyones faces are different, so find one that fits you best.. then go or design..

This is just my opinion and counts for jack :D haha!!

Shark all the way (also top of the test thingymibob too)

I've an Arai viper & a Shoei xr1000,both excellent lids & i believe still available at silly money..
I think the arai is plusher but the shoei(with whisper strip) is quieter..
Both almost retro now..

Dainese Aircourse - lightest, quietest, guicciest helmet I've owned.
Dark visors are legal and ec marked, change in seconds.
3 shell sizes make it a crackin fit too.
Carbon kevlar and half the cost of a noisy Arai.

Arai all the way for me, suits my head shape , fits like a glove. An Astro R oldish model but new helmet pure quality compared to lids I've had in the past, only bit I don't like is changing the visor, you feel that your going to snap the side panels.

Colin, we sell Arai, AGV and KBC lids. I've got an AGV for me own personal choice, awesome helmet and lighter than an RX7 Arai.
