Royal Mail
« on: November 02, 2010, 02:04:19 PM »

Is it only me that has shit with Royal Mail ? Every time someone sends me a parcel (signed for or not) despite being home all I get is a little card saying they tried to deliver but I was out !  Been expecting a new chain, posted in Surrey on Thurs morning 1st class signed for, no sign of it on tuesday  so I check the tracking number on the RM site, this tells me when it was posted and its within the system,  I called Royal Mail, it turns out (this being 2010) that it can take 15 days . . .  I check web site at 1pm and it says they have tried to deliver (bullshit) and have left me a card (more shit as they didnt ) , calling the sorting office gets me nowhere as they are officially closed and wont know where my parcel is till the driver comes back in tomorrow morning ! My guess is that they dont take the parcels out in case people are not in, maybe this means they can go straight home after the round and not have to return to the sorting office .   Tried complaining but the phoneline cuts you off when you select 'make a complaint' . Anyone else have this grief ?

Had the same pal.... was waiting on stuff from feebay and was looking out when the postman arrived (on foot) he pushed mail through the door but no parcel  :-(  but when i looked at the mail the same card was in the pile , so i took off down the street after him !! he told me that when they have too much for the bag the smaller parcels are left out and the cards are posted    So i had to pick it up from the sorting office !!!!!

I've had exactly the same shit as well on occasion....been carded when I am sat in the lounge waiting for a package.

I never want to see blokes lose their jobs at any level - but fook me, it needs a proper kick up the arse does Royal Mail - it is piss poor on too many occasions.

My regular postie is absolutely brilliant, he will leave packages round the back, in a wheelie bin or with a neighbour and tell me where it is....but anyone else covering the round and I don't get stuff even when I am in.
