its gone!
« on: September 10, 2010, 12:51:48 PM »

8 months ive had the blade and ive got bored !  not particulary with the blade itself, i still stand by that i think its the best 1000cc inline 4 that ive ridden and fook me was it quick! but im bored of IL4,s and the arse up race stance and spending days out riding it on roads where i cant do what i want on it, i havnt got time to be a track day junkie so ive taken the plunge and chopped it in!!

in a few weeks (when its been delivered) i shall be the proud owner of a sparkly new white triumph speed triple, with belly pan, fly screen, tail tidy, and full 3-1 arrow race system ( gets rid of the underseat pipes ) went out on the demo and i just had the best hour ive ever had on the road on a bike.

hopefully it will look exactly like this

very nice, those triples are a good strong bit of kit..................... riding a bike is what we do, and it dosent matter what it may be cos aslong as u have a smile every time u get off it then something must be right.

good luck to ya mate   :icon_thumright:

Stunning too in plain black and white, just goes to show the chineese can make something good when they try !! Def one of the nicest bikes on the road today almost the perfect streetfighter look out of the box, nothing else needed - except someone to own and ride it !!

ended up going with a black one! the white has been discontinued for 2011 and triumph are out of stock, to be fair they did offer to have a bike sprayed up for me in white but i was unsure about it with colour matching etc so black it is! pick it up on sat only thing that might be missing is the R & G  tail tidy as there stilling waiting for it to arrive, but thats no hassle they can fit it at 1st service if need be. :hello2: :hello2:

picked her up yesterday, ive now got a week to do the initial 500 mile running period before the first service, i,l get the arrow 3-1 and tail tidy fitted next week aswell. rode her best part of 100 miles back from aylesbury at 3500rpm yesterday  52mph all the way!! funny thing was though because of the riding position and sedate pace i actually got to see things around me (suppose this where harley riders come from)
anyways that wont last ive already passed the first phase of running in and im up too 6000rpm which makes a big difference, other noticalbe differences are the seat height is higher than i thought and it seems a good few inches higher than the blades, more than once yesterday i stretched out with my foot expecting to feel terra firma only to find it aint there!
gear box has impressed, this was the one thing that i thought might annoy me as ive heard they felt agricultural and clunky compared to the blade but apart from a few "fuzzy" changes where i was unsure if it had engaged it was excellent and can only get better as it beds in.
all in all im well impressed and ive got a dry day today to stick some more miles on it!! :headbang: pics up soon.

Will be taking it to the WSBK at MagnyCours in a few weekends time. Usually I only take the 10R on tour, but fancy a change just to see what it's like. Next big trip for the 10R will probably be scratching round the South of France and Italy. It's back to commuting for me at the moment (boring but necessary).
