I'm not sure about you hardcore boys out there, but when fitting tyres I usually get 2 rears to 1 front.

Just come up to 1800 road miles on a set of Supercorsa BSB's I fitted and the front has worn at the same rate as the rear. To be honest, on the road, the Supercorsa 3 was more than ample for me although have had the hero blob touch down on a roundabout with the BSB's giving so much confidence. Cold the BSB's have lead me to think I've had a puncture in the past as they do slip a little, on the flip side, I have had no real problems with them in the wet.

Just thought I'd mention the 1 to 1 in case anyone was looking for pro's & cons in fitting a set.

  good to know....just put on a new rear corsa III, front still good. Will be testing something else after these, probably not the BSBs now.

ive just put pilot powers on after corsa 111 the front was on its 2nd rear when i bought the bike 3k miles the differnce in turn in now is unreal before sometimes you had to musle it into the corner  now just drops in like a 600 i have so much more confidence.the rear corsa had only done 1400 miles when changed. the front i guess 4400 miles and looked ok tread wise but had become v shaped

totally argee wiv you the corsa III's were completly shite wen i first got my 10 couldnt wait to get them changed a lot of ppl have recommened the 2CT's to me howeva ive fallen for the BT016's had them on all 2 of my 3 bikes and as you say wiv the 2cts turn is brilliant shit loads of feedback can feel everything comin bk up not sure wot the longevity is compared to the mitchlin but certinaly give them a run for their money wen it comes to corning

2CT's gave over 4/5k on a rear but lacked feedback for me.
RR's give better mileage over 6k on both rears so far, better feedback and only marginally off the 2CT's when wet.
Add that the RR's are a fair bit cheaper too I'm sticking with them.
Stupid sticky tyres are a total waste of time and money unless you are after lap records at the Ring or Cadwell. 2k on a rear? waste of money.

FYI - both of Chris's burnouts were over 30secs each so worth a hell of a lot of rubber lost.

Yep - Qualifier RR's - best tyre I've used yet.
Good enough for stupidly quick laps of the Ring and edge to edge through the Geldbactal, Knedown, city and the 3,2,1 bends.
O and this rear has been there three times so far and still will see out this year - now on 5400 miles.

It always amazes me when people post these comments about these tyres. It really is down to personal taste. I personally love these tyres. I had my knee down in the wet around clearways on a trackday last year with these with no problems, they lasted a whole day at Snetterton last year even though the right side of the tyre was toast after seriously abusing it on Coram all day.

Personally, I am amazed it has lasted so long. I was in the fast group at Snetterton so I do know how to give the tyres a good workout. When I ride on the road, I would class myself as a fairly swift rider. (10 years ago it would have been stupid cnut!!) Although I normally wind the throttle on progressively as opposed to using it as an on/off switch! . I generally don't do burnouts or skid the tyre, so that definitely helps.

In fact, the rear is on about 4500 miles and its still got a good 1000 miles left on it. The only dilemma I have is I have a track day at Donington on the 24th and I don't know if the tyre will last another trackday. I will either put these tyres back on, or go for the Pirelli Dragon Corsa Rossos.

I sometimes wonder if some people read too much and worry about everyone elses opinions, instead of just riding.. On the road, no on could really get anywhere near the outer edges of a tyres performance, especially in the wet. Just watching some people ride in the wet would suggest to me they are -in a nutshell- not confident in the wet and it's nothing to do with the tyre. They have far more grip than the 'Michelin Hi-Sports' I used to stick on my ZXR750, and they used to be regarded as on of the best tyres 15 years ago.

On the track, I always felt in control and I had every confidence in the tyre, even when I missed my braking point on Revett straight and had to feather the brake as I turned in and the front was seriously protesting. I can lap in the 1.16-1.17 mark -quick enough for me- my finger was just slipping onto the lap timer honest!!!)

At the end of the day, the 'what tyre do you think I should buy next?' debate will always go on, everyone will give their 0.02p worth about what is the best tyre and will will never agree totally. As long as we all stay upright then I guess it's athe best we can hope for.

absofuckinglutly agree dude, as i posted thats my personal findings on how i found the tyres

when i had my 04 10r, it came with dunlop 218's which everyone and i mean everyone said where crap, i remember doing a track day and one of the organisers said to me "are those 218's? be bloody careful" well i wasnt and they did me just fine for that day

but i then put 2cts on that bike too and they transformed the feel of the bike underneath me when i thought it was fine on 218's

so yeah its down to personal choice and i completely agree bud, but when asked a question I'll give my personal proven findings  

also on the road i am more than capable in getting to the edges of the tyres
