Right guys, we finally have an update!

Had a call off John at Orrell Park Motorcycles informing me the replacement bottom yoke and swingarm were fitted and the bike was ready to be collected :)

Loon picked it up this morning and dropped it off to me:

Here's how it was when I got it with the nice, new swingarm:

I started work on the bike removing pieces of damaged fairing that was still attached, crash bungs and of course, the exhaust:

So here's pretty much how it is now:

I've decided to not spend what I need to get it back to road spec. Instead, I've decided to stick with the track idea. Come summer, if I want to stick it on the road, I'll just give it a daytime MOT and insure it on a monthly basis or something.

It's going to be a new bike for the road!

Just need to pick up a ram air carrier to mount the clocks, sort out a new levers for the front, get a rear rhs footrest and order the track fairings. I'll start getting tarty bits once I get to that stage.

Cheers Roy!

I'm not doing too bad now mate. Still far away from where I need to be but I'm getting there. The meccano is off and I've had a skin graft, hopping around in a moon boot now. Just got to see how the bones cope over the next 12 months.

I managed to get out on a ride last weekend as pillion. As much as I hate being on the back, it was pretty awesome!

Cheers for the comments guys!

Wedgie, I was absolutely crapping myself for the first five minutes! After that I was leaning off the bike more than the rider [rofl]

Ooh, that's what I forgot! I managed to sort the clocks out today. I bought them off cal44walker and I noticed they were set in KPH. After a bit of playing, I finally managed to change it to MPH.

It seems my bike has lost a few miles compared to the original clocks

Thanks, Andy! It's been a difficult 9 months, so I'm glad things are starting to go my way, at last :)
