Not been on lately, although a few of you will know that I had bit of an accident on the ZX-10R.

I can't remember what happenned. In fact I don't even remember leaving work that day, I only know through witness accounts. With this being a public forum I'm not gonna disclose any information about the accident.

Anyway, here's the pics:



































Now I'm not a medical professional or anything so don't expect me to know the correct names. The injuries I sustained were a snapped tibia (right at the bottom), split ankle bone and a severe dislocation. When my boot was removed it turned 180 degrees facing the opposite direction.

I've had screws put in to hold the bones in place but it was found that they were still moving about. An external fixator was put in place to prevent this.

I've been in to the hospital today for another check up and have been told my recovery period will be longer than originally thought. Since the injury occurred I've continually been informed of the severity of it. The ankle bone can at any time die, which will result in future operations. Possible solutions I've been told, will be to remove the bone and replace it with bone from a donor, plate it together and fuse the joint. Depending how bad it goes, amputation has been mentioned.

My consultant has told me from day one that I have just a 20% chance of making a full recovery. From today's visit it didn't sound like that number was improving.

Just gotta keep my fingers crossed!
