All done. Was bent selector fork which was main problem. I've been told engine has been split before? Wonder why the last owner sold it ?
Oh well, should be ok now for a long time.  Tested up and down street and seems ok so far. Doing mallory on fri so will take it steady to begin with.  Cleaned engine up a but before fitting and she looks like new! Lol
