So folks. You've been around a while and you've had a few different bikes.
As we move on to attain our dream of ever more modern machines we have to "cast off" our old steeds in order to pay for our latest motorcycling hit.
But when you look back with rose tinted glasses which bikes would you give your right arm to get back?
One that stands out for me is my old DR600.
The first one (before it got all poncy and plasticky) with Paris Dakar styling, kick start only and a decompression lever just so you could kick the bitch over!
Simple, basic, brutal, loud. It also had an annoying tendency to cut out just as the traffic lights were about to change green
But what a laff to ride!
Sidestand scrapping whilst on Avon Gripsters was something I will never forget.
Ah, nostalgia's not wot it used to be!
Now who shall be the next to pick up these rose tinted glasses?
