Obeying the rules!
« on: May 06, 2010, 12:41:44 PM »

Hello!
New member. Newbie as we all know them as.
Purchased a 2004 '10' beginning of March. Description - Animal, Ferocious!  :icon_thumright: But I can live with that!
Haven't had a great chance to go out much due to 'inclement' weather, yes, I am a fair weather rider. I don't wanna go out in the rain!
Looking forward to a bit of the old 'currant bun'. Best days to ride on.
Have a few mates I go out with on occasion, usually Sundays. They can ride fast! I'm usually tail end! I know my limits and never 'push' them. Yes I have a fast bike but value my life! I'm not going to pretend I'm mega-fast. I can ride quick, but sometimes see them make overtakes that make me wince. I ride for me!
Anyway, before I go on about scruples too much.... Good to be here. I don't usually write much, but read often for tips and advice and maybe try to meet up with a few for a ride-out.

I've had a SV650S for my first bike, then a ZX9R, which was absolute mint. Bought from a friend so I knew the history. Trouble was, one day, I ended in a ditch, busted my collarbone, knocked myself out and woke up in hospital, with the missus beside me! To this day I still have no recollection why, I wasn't doing anything silly. Straight line too! Maybe some gravel or something, parts of my bike are still in the ditch! Bike was totalled, still have it in parts in my garage. Engine is fine. Frame is snapped!

Anyway, I gabble on. Good to be here... Nicknja

Ahhhh someone who spreaks the truth about his abilities, wish there were more like you on here as there are a few with the 'I'm better than you and know it all attitude'

Welcome dude, glad you bought a 10, it is a beast and it's also a bike you can tour on  :icon_thumright:
