Knitting patterns anybody ?
« on: April 03, 2007, 11:17:21 PM »

Maybe I've bought the wrong bike. Are there any other old biddies out there ? How does one remain mounted upon the motorcycle above eight thou ? Why is it so loud despite being type approved?  What techniques have members adopted to deal with 'hippy happy face'  staring back at me in mirrors at end of ride ? Does it wear off over time...ever? Why is the gearing set to deliver best performance from 70 to 180 mph -  how does one ride the legal bit at the front (the initial blip covered by first gear in fact ?). For christs sake, are all the top sports bikes this FULL ON or is just this one particularly ridiculous ?
Day I collected it, on way home  "Oh I'll just hang onto fourth a while longer so that I may safely pass this car ahead...why is the steering not working...ah yes  that would be because the front wheel is not touching the road beneath it..."
Two days later in rain "Shall be extra careful it being wet and all whilst I overtake...leave it in top, thats the ticket...I'll just stay out and pop past the next car as well... and that one up ahead...gosh 120 and so safe...and th...why is the rear of my motorcycle overtaking me? oh silly me, because its wheel spinning you ninny"
It just does not want to play at 'happy bikers', it wants to do WHAT IT WANTS TO DO and I'm just not being listened to ...  the litte f*cker. I've renamed it - Animal. And you lot must be a set of nutters too, but I am hoping to adapt so that I may draw your attention to  Animals finer points such as turning circle, luggage mounting points and availability of brighter headlamps.
PS can you recommend a full hard luggage set please.

Yeah - web forums of other bikes I have owned have plenty of words on  how good those bikes are but this site is full of comments of  completely raw unrestrained lust  for this machine - it definitely has that extra something that does not show up on paper or statistics
