I want High Def (or reasonably high def - not 800 x 600), and I want to mount the camera on the bike - but not behind the screen - so maybe a bullet cam

Go Pro HD - quality is awesome and in a nice single little package about the size of a cigarette packet.

I know Mark from dogcam. Hes a genuinely nice guy and does some quality stuff. Have a look at the Donington bike crash in his videos section(right at the bottom). Thats me on the orange Gixer leading out of the pits! Poor old Si was gutted he totalled his immaculate R1 but the video equipment survived.

They look as bad as the Mottrax rubbish that you see in the shops, not much confidence in it if you still have a cord attached somewhere else!!! 

wouldn't catch me using the sucker type version for love nor money.

Have to say tho that this is a product that Ive designed, developed, built and used myself. And I stand by what I said. Its the best system Ive ever used.
Its been tested in excess of 140mph and I can tell you it sticks like shit to a blanket.
Check the vids to see how stable the system is.
The lanyard? anybody would be a fool to have an expensive camera attached to a bike without one.

But hey, everyone is entitled to their own opinion..... as long as its based on facts

I have no doubt that you would praise your own product, it would be sales suicide not too, I just wouldn't trust the sucker type system myself and as for in excess of 140, how in excess are we talking 
I agree with the lanyard comment though. 
I have previously used the tank mounted ones which are the best system in my mind as they are securely fixed by bolts, the downside being the view through the screen.

Actually, I think I may have a better use for your system!!!
I am looking for one for my car! do you think this would be just as effective as I would be interested for that purpose!

had it attached to my bike for the whole of last years 5 day trip, didnt have to re-attach it in those five days at all. only time i touched it was 2 weeks after i got back

i removed it to clean the bike

hadnt moved one bit and struggled to remove it to be fair lol

looking into this too, looks like the dogcam is best value versus results, but checking with a mate who always videos the trackdays etc and his filming is top notch, will find out what he uses

Guys -- the stuff from Dogcam is all currently standard definition.  This is from the new GoPro HD in a single package the size of a cigarette packet ...

This HD 1080p footage has been downsampled to 1440 x 960 just to help with the upload speed over broadband but gives you some idea of what the high res setting at 1920 x 1080 looks like !

They do an hd set up to but ordered the standard res for now. Hopefully will have it on at oulton sat and snet next sun
