Went out for about an hour, bloody cold though, lots of debris on the roads where the tarmac has broken up, like riding on marbles

You're not kiddig! Had two 'moments' surfing on a ridge of gravel in the middle of the lane

Like you say - shite from the dodgy pot hole patches

I managed an hour on Saturday wind chill was -25 at 60MPH... God knows what it was at the national MPH limit

Needless to say I was wearing my summer gear

I remember when I ride in winter in summer gloves

my hands was completely frozen,and I used to use my exhaust to warm up my hands never again am going to ride in summer gloves in winter

Top of my shopping list is a new 2 piece thermal base layer any one recomend one EDZ any good for example...

I would recommend the EDZ inner shell, packs up real small. The best bit of kit i got for cold weather riding is my R1200RT
