With the 04 dogbones you'd need the spacer - you really need the 08 linkage and dog bones or the 6r linkage and 06 dog bones - as the ratio will be way off.

Was there any issue with the sprockets or chain length? The 08-09 swingarm is shorter then the 04-05 one, did you take out a chain link or have to get a bigger rear sprocket?

04/05 - 110 links
06/07 - 108 links
08/09 - 110 links

Got that... thanks for that information but the longer chain for the 08-09 is for the larger rear sprocket since they went up +1 from Gen2 in the rear. I did some looking and the major difference in the frame between the different model years is the swingarm pivot. The Gen1 has the pivot farther forward with a longer swingarm then the 2 later generations that was why I was asking about having to shorten the chain or go with a larger rear sprocket.

I think i spoke to tony83 (Ref some race i am having)  he advised me in option.
use 6r dog legs/bones
or add a extra 3 mm washer under the top mount and keep 04 parts.

i only covered 50 miles on the zx10r, feels good put wether is crap.

If i have this wrong please advice, the bike/ride hight is the same as OEE.

My guess is "Errrrr"  :emb: with a big hole in the midrange.

The 6r linkage changes the ratio and makes it far more linear than the 04/05.
The 06/07 is almost the same as is the 08 but the 08 is 3mm longer on the shock side of the pivot.
