Ok looking for new boots for crimbo, i have got smx's the now but the trouble being is my calves are on the large side and once you have the leathers on and trying to do the boot up i am nearly giving myself a hernia. :crybaby2:
Can anyone suggest a boot which accomadates porky calves? :icon_thumright:

Dainese axial in boots i had to buy as i got the same problem ...

one snag you gotta get compatible leathers aswell!!!

comfortable as f**k mind....

I suffer exactly the same problem buddy! I find oxtar/TCX boots are really comfie, good price and last well as well. I get through one pair every 2 years. and i wear them permanatley throughout the day at work etc etc.  :icon_thumright:

another vote for Oxtar/TCS, same as I have big calves and still wear leathers inside boot, also a decent width fitting for the foot

TCX i will go for, regarding the size, is the fit the same as your regular shoe size?

Alpinestars Supertech R's are bloody brilliant and there is an adjustable (ratchet) type closure on the calf.

I have the same problem with boots cos I have big claves as well.

My last boots were XPD's - my current boots are TCX, they make 'em big enough :-)

A/stars and Sidi's dont even go close to fastening up even with the adjusters opened up .......

I have to agree with Charlie, i have a pair of SMX plus boots and although a good boot they are an absolute bitch to get the zip up so the velcro can attach. I near gave myself a nose bleed with exertion trying to do the zip up last time.

I dont have particularly large calves but my Oxtar/TCX boots certainly have more room in that area than my old Alpinestars......Just go and try loads of pairs with your leathers on. Definately recommend Oxtar /TCX for comfort ,wear & quality. Good luck :icon_thumright:
