headlight covers
« on: December 04, 2009, 09:24:05 AM »

Does enyone know if you can still get those protective lens covers....not the tacky purple or pinky ones( no offence intended if someone does have some!),but seems I aquired too many stone chips for comfort on the front lights. And don.t like the look of replaving them.

Actually i was thinking about these a week or so ago. On a rideout to Scotland a couple of years ago one of the lads had green covers on his zx6 and you always knew it was him in your mirrors and not an unmarked plod bike. If we all fitted coloured ones then it might be easier to spot plod  ??

I had one on mine, it's held on with velcro and has rubbed the headlight lenses in places, I don't think that I'd have another  [naughty]

I can only assume that the shape of the headlight on the 05's is the cause of the rubbing  :tongue3:
