Well guys ... because as they say shit happens, some of u have had and experience with insurance companies buying your zx10r from u as its been a write off.
I have read some reviews of my current insurance company (equity red star) and im just horrified!! they offered something around 1500 for similar bikes   but also 70 (yes SEVENTY) for bike worth over a thousand!! is it possible or its just porkies??

So my question is: how much have u been offered and how much ( if its not a secret) they finally paid for your ten?

i know we never expect the first offer-thats understandable but just waiting for their verdict.

they havent offered anything yet. They insist to pick up bike first. Told them they should know more or less how much its worth. They promised to contact engineer  and get back to me with rough idea-figure. Then will see. I hope because it seems to be the same insurance company as Fido's ( equity red star) they will offer some reasonable figures.

question for Fido: how long did it last until u got the cheque from them?

They wont know how much it is worth untill they survey and cost the bike

i had to  show service history etc etc to prove how mint it was and then the bike was taken away and then i got a figure off the insurance company (HSBC)

the bloke was here already to assess costs of repair so they know how it looks like. they know it was motd recently, they know mileage, custom paint etc. was serviced regularly so.
im just concerned to release the bike, keys, service book etc without any figure in writing because if i do that they can offer me pennies and i wont have a ground to stand on to negotiate with them.

When my 04 was done 11 months ago i was paid out 4400, bonus as i only paid 3200 for it  . Mine had 7k worth of damage and salvage price to buy back was 900

I didnt get a figure untill they had the bike so think its pretty normal

Cheque took a while mate.....Just keep hassling them once you have agreed on a figure.

have been told NOT to release the bike until i have something from the insurance company. so far didnt get anything.

So guys............ got the check from insurance company. 23 days after the accident (imo quite quick-dont u think?). And..........

bike was insured for 4999, excess 450 and they sent me check for .........



4450!!!!



im more than happy 

and today i purchased ......... next ZX10R this time 56 reg!!!!!!!
