2005 r1 calipers on 2004 c1h zx10r

had a nice set of r1 calipers that i wanted to fit to my 04 zx10r. I either needed bigger discs or the posts machining down 5mm.. I had an engineering mate who took 5 mm off the caliper posts and wow what a difference. Got an r1 radial m/c as well off an 05 r1 and the difference is night and day.. oh and the pads are 1/2 the price ;-)

+1 on the feel/power and the price of brake pads. big difference lol

i ran those a while back but with 310mm discs of zx14 so didn't have to machine them down.

then sold them to a mate who got them turned down to work with his std size discs (kept the 310's)

i went out tonight on the 10 :glasses9: and yes the brakes are not as good as they could be,ebay her i come :tongue3:

yep mine work great much better than the standard kawasaki units thanks for the tip  B-) shaved 5mm off and they fit/cover the discs perfect

Also machined some zx10r 09 calipers

they sold on ebay last night.

I have cbr1000rr calipers and spacers
And 09 zx10r calipers

The spaceing in diffrent between the centres of the caliper mouting points. So its a No go really
