i know someone on here rides one but cant remember who??? and being in the idle state of mind that i am i cant be bothered to look back and find out
ive had the zx10 now for 2 yrs so my eyes are starting to wander around whats in the shops and i think this winter will bring a change to jonahs garage.
ive a few options 08/09 zx10 in white being one of them along with similar yr blade (the only jap 4 ive yet to have)
but im also considering going for something completely different and my local dealer (mv augusta and aprillia) have some good prices on both the tuono factory and the rsvr mille factory.
ive only ever really owned an inline 4 japanese sports bike and i have to admit although i love the 10 for all its power, handling etc im kinda seriously thinking i should try something different for a while, and a twin street bike such as the tuono or even the superduke appeal to me.or maybe if i bottle it and stay with the sportsbike then the rsv mille, RC8.
my main concern is i think that i might miss the lack of power?
over to you...what do you reckon ?

Got to say Jonah, I've only ever ridden a couple of twins, both were KTMs.  Totally different animals to the 10, and TBH not my cup of tea.  Both had incredible low down stomp, as you would expect, easy to throw around and both were relatively comfortable, but, and it s a big one, they both ran out of steam just as when the 10 would be getting into it's stride giving you the ride of your life.  I know we don't spend that much time WOT, but I live for those times and neither bikes gave me the thrill I was looking for.

I reckon you ought to go out and have a bloody good go on them both and see if you gel with it.

On the other hand, go try an early TL 1000. Cheap enough to have 2 bikes and a hell of a lot of fun!

Jonah - I've sold mine now ( through no fault of the bike I might add ) and my main peice of advice to you if you have never tried a twin is to take one for a good long ride . You either " click " with it or you don't . Those people who slag v twins have probably never tried one but they do take a bit of getting used to if you've only ever ridden IL4 .
The Tuono is supposed to be a little more " road orientated " to the Super duke which is supposed to be a little more " flighty " but I guess either can be made just how you want it with a few simple mods - the main one being sprocket sizes . My Tuono ( not a Factory coz the colours made me sick ) benefitted immensely from one tooth down on the front sprocket and never really made any difference to terminal velocity as you never spend any time up near 150mph on a naked twin anyway 

In short - Bloody good fun but very , very different to a 10R ( I had an '07 wheelbarra as you do ) and you WILL miss the 10R from time to time but the Tuono will make you smile just as much just at different types of riding .

p.s - don't go thinking it will slow your riding down coz it won't !! - if anything a naked twin makes you ride more aggresssively around the A and B roads

some good bits of advice there, cheers guys im gonna pop to redline in loughborough when i get the chance and get me a go on a superduke  the other half loves my 10 and dont wanna get rid of it, but its time i had a change me thinks.
