If I was a copper..I'd pull you!  You not just pushing the limits, but having a plate there is like shoving two finger up at regs.   

We all hate having plates, but a necessary evil in my opinion.  Plenty of lads on here make do with smaller plates without getting pulled.

I think the other thing to bear in mind is, if your bike was 100% normal in other ways...like no noisy cans, no stand out paintwork and probably slightely dubious riding styles then you may get away with it....!!

N30 came on here whinging like a c**t about being pulled, when he had no tax disc, loud can, had been giving it the beans through some tunnel, dark visor and probably racing slicks...and then moaned about why he had been pulled for "that" plate.  Doesn't take Isaac Newton to do the maths!!!!

ive got a pal whos mounted it on the battery box, its on a cb1000r, dunno how he aint been pulled like.

as for mountin it like it is on that lads Zed (above) does the suspension not crush it after takin off at times???

I got told the very same thing when we were stopped in the cage.
Private plate but we moved the spacing on the reg and we got pulled for that and he mentioned the very thing you are on about......but i think its scare tactics to be honest.
