Been planning to re-start riding a bike hopefully by year end. Its been at least 10 years since my last bike ('93 Fireblade) and been looking at sportsbikes & reviews lately. My favourite seems to be the current ZX-10R. I hope that its not too challenging to ride this bike as I'm sure I will be quite nervous in the beginning. Any advice & recommendations would be appreciated. Cheers

After 10 years off a bike any of the litre models will feel intimidating. Things have moved on so much in that time.

Just get to know the bike and take your time

Yep, looking at the power of sportbikes these days is surely mind boggling. I doubt I will be riding as hard as I did 10 years ago as age has also caught up on my reflexes. Really need to take it slow & easy when I start.

Thanks for the welcome guys. Bikes are expensive over here as the import duty is high. So I will probably be using the ZX10r for quite some time, mostly for weekend rides. Have been looking at some riding gear like boots, pants & jackets and keeping myself fit. Hopefully things go as planned. Cant wait to join my mates who have been 'instigating' me to ride for the last few months.
