thanks for the feedback guys.     i havent bought a sports bike 2 get economy, that would b daft.

was just wonderin if mine was over fuelin or summit. but it seems normal, cheers again.

I have, got 56.3 km (den haag to my house in amsterdam), unfortunatley the petrol station just along from my house is 56.35km away so had to push the bike the final 50 meters, talk about close

I did 23 miles yesterday after the light came on, I kept it below 85mph on the motorway.  This morning I started from cold and did just over 2 miles to fill up, it took 14.52 litres to the brim.  I think the tank holds 17 litres so I still had a bit of mileage left if needed. 

I did 118 miles on that tank, so that works out at around 37-ish to the gallon, meaning the tank range was 136, so I had another 18 miles in hand.  Which means the light came on at 93 miles, giving me 43 miles before I ran dry, phew!!  Compared with my old R1 this is crap, I can get an easy 50 mpg on a commute and it rarely drops below 40 when "making progress".
