New Bike Concerns
« on: March 15, 2009, 03:31:02 PM »

Rode my 04 ten today for the first time and the ride has thrown up a couple of problems.

Im very concerned as there appears to be a Tasmanian Devil trapped in a tin box just under the fuel tank.
Whats more he seems to be an aggressive little fecker!
Whatever I do just seems to annoy him more and even the slightest movement of the right wrist sends the stroppy bstd into a hissy fit.
Im worried hes gonna bite me one day. PLEASE HELP!!

My second problem is a slight twitch I get just above the riders seat pad.
Could these 2 problems be connected?

Any help/therapy/donations gratefully received.

The "problems" you describe are quite normal!
Could you be a little more specific about the slight twitch! Is this a "shit yourself" twitch or is it giving you the horn?
Either way, once again, quite normal!

Good, innit!!!!!

He did Andy, we left mine for Dover just after 4am and Kev got back to his for 3pm our time. Did the maths and I'm guessing he didn't break the speed limit honest [whistle]

You wont believe this (or maybe you will) but its the first time ive been glad of a streering damper at 135+

Most of the trip I stuck to between 95 - 110 but you know what its like on the motorway. Gotta have a play to break the boredom from time to time.
Wacked her up to 135 and this dick in a Ford was convinced he could race but he wouldnt pull over.
Got the arse in the end and just went for it........

In the space of his car the bike went from 135 to 176 and if it hadnt been for the damper it'd have all got a bit worrying. Never expected the front end to go light at those speeds. Atmittedly it skipped off some bumps but still.

Many thanks to Hammy for the tailpack. Worth its weight in gold.

BTW - to all those who have mentioned it. Yes, it does need a DB screen. By fook does it need a DB screen  :tongue3:

(all speed are mph. We would like to point out thats speeds can go up as well as down and your licence may be at risk if you do not keep up..... eeer, keeping up)
