Anybody on here who can help or point me in the right direction to build a webpage? Just a simple 1 page will do, but it will need to get a good hit rate. Need it to be hosted as cheap as possible or free.

take a look at the microsoft office online service, you can rapidly build a simple web page without any programming knowledge, you get your domain and website hosted for free too.  really good service unless you want a very complex page

as for getting the hits thats a whole science in itself check out the google site master tools etc but it comes down to what quality information you have on your site

that wont give you a great hit rate though - you'll need to pay google for space/adverts to get top of a hit list these days

you really dont HAVE to pay for the space/adverts, but it is a lot easier than building all the quality information, having it linked from other sites to yours etc

just built one using dreamweaver for a project i am working on with my father-in-law. still a bit to do on it but its getting there. On hold for the moment though as got a load of uni stuff to do. Take a look though at www.summitmotorcycles.co.uk and let me know what you think
