Hi all...

I am buying my first ZX10R next month...

Love the bike the only secound thoughts I am having is that for less money I can have a new ZX636R with 0 miles...

Please help in my thoughts.. My heart lays with the 10R but value for money is the other..

Just to help u answer I am 5`11" and weigh 17stone large build my wife is only tiny but she`ll be coming out now and gain will be me on own most of the time...

Will the ZX636R be underpowered?

Had a 636 before i got the 10 ,  was a lovely bike really light at the front end , needed a steering damper to get rid of the shaking but was fun !!!

welcome and I'd say no the 6 won't be under powered at all andismost prob the sensible option but if youwant the thrills/power of a 1000cc sports bike then get the 10  :icon_thumright:

i was trying to choose between a new 636 and a nearly 4 year old 10r for similar money too, i test rode the 10 and fuck me it made the blade feel slow, i never did ride the 636 tho  :lol:

welcome mate.
i had a 636 and it was great went to ireland with the wife on the back no problems with power , i now have a ten and only been out on it a couple of times (got it at the begining of the year ) and wow the rush of the xtra power is awesome and the grin on your face while out on the ten will last for hours.
You should try both before you buy , but once you have been out on a ten there will be no going back. :icon_thumleft:
