RC8
« on: January 03, 2009, 10:01:15 PM »

had a proper look at one today in the KTM dealer at loughborough, first time ive really had a good look and i gotta say im impressed, top quality parts i.e marchennesi wheels WS suspension etc and very well put together aswell, still un decided about the front end look but the back is lovely, the one i looked at had just 2k on the clock was in white which did look nice and had a private plate RC08 XXX  which has gotta be worth a pretty penny, askin price was 9k.
anybody rode one??

the superduke R is a lovely bike I have to agree on that.

KTM always have top components on their bikes i.e. WP suspension but they can also be prolematic too unfortunately, I'll be sticking with my lovely 10R for a while I reckon  :headbang:

Love the look of the RC8 however i don't think i'd go for it plainly becasue it cannot touch a "jap four" in the speed stakes and you'd prob get beat by a 600 too.

If speed aint your thing but track work is then it could be a good buy - as said above it certainly looks lovely (although it does feel cheap when sat on - lots of plastic around the clocks etc.)

My mates, albeit a normal 'duke, feels SO unstable it is silly. So easy to turn though but feels unnervingly weird.

Mate of mine had a test ride on one a while ago.  Said the handling was awsome, but like they said in the tests the fuelling was crap.

Tony, as u turn towards B&Q turn left past autowindscreens and OAK FM etc and keep going down the road till your next courtyard on the LEFT, don't listen to Jonah (one to many in the plough i think) but he weren't far away !!!!!!
