Ally Pally or Excel?
« on: December 12, 2008, 04:51:23 PM »

Having never been to Excel & not to Ally Pally since it was the Road Race show, I am interested to know which is the better show overall? For me Excel is a pain to get to but if it is likely to be a better day out it may get the vote.

well if i read your thread right your asking if the excel is better than ally pally, well excel has taken the place of the ally pally road race show and no theres no way its anywhere as good as ally pally used to be,hope this years better than last year because it was shit,i've been going to the road race show at ally pally for around 7 years and i used to look forward to it every year but last year at the excel there was just a load of cheep shit companys selling cheep crap so we will have to wait and see

Ally Pally was a good racing show. Different enough from the NEC show to be worth a visit. The Excel one looks like the typical sell bikes show.

The old Ally Pally was easily the best UK bike show.

I went to the Excel show the year before last & couldn't believe how utterly shite it was, I was in & out (having seen every stand/stall there at least once) in well under 90 mins.

I'll deffo be going to the Ally Pally show this time, but even if the Excel one was literally over the road from my house I wouldn't waste my time, let alone my money going to it.
