simply don't eat as much you fat bastard!!!!  [rofl]  or you could try the heroin route :)

edit - seriously tho man once you return to your normal activity you will probably start seeing the weight drop off anyway, just remember to always take the stairs instead of the lift and start taking your car places instead of the bike, the extra walk you will have to make from the parking spot to your destination should help :)

hi magic ,as glen said we were and are training buddies?i found losing weight a big hard slogg as i'm now 15 stone but was 2 months ago 16.2 to be honest most of it was my diet not eating shit after 18/1900hrs?plus lots of cv less heavier weights too? for eg.

my routine for a guy thats one is starting gym life and trying to loose weight is, find a comfy weight in the gym for the particular excersize and rep on it (ask gln he'll get you a gym routine but here's a quicky)
 for chest usually i start 1st rep =20kgs dumbelss warm up incline press
                                       2nd=30kgs pall the way up to the 60kgs-----------but thats only when your advanced


as a starter i would try 15/20 kgs start 3/4 sets of 15,20 reps then so on once youv'e done the routine glen gives you ,then its time for the hard stuff(you have to do over 20mins cv before you start burning fat so e.g if you only do 20 mins on a bike then you burnt 0 fat-in theory)
so i would do 10 mins rowing as good all over cv watch what distance you do and slowly try to increase every time you do it
then 10 mins cycling  then 10 mins on the tread mill not nececary running if your heavy but a fast pace walking then a good stretch off after a hot bath ...........

Thanks for the suggestions fellas, one small glitch ( which is why i needed a personal assesment) smashed up my rotator cuff  and  put two fractures in the wrist so my strength and movement are very restricted. With these injuries plus a smashed hip ( falling of my 748 years ago) i thought the instructor was gonna have
 fun  preparing a routine for me. Basically this evening he introduced me to the equipment ( on very light weight) to asses my strength and range of movement. His suggestion for the hip problem was to keep me on low impact cv equipment, i.e no treadmill! :hello2: I was pleased when he said he,d prepare a routine ready for tommorrow as i was half expecting him to say " it,s a physio you need not a gym"

I can still help if you get stuck.... have worked alot with physio in the army.... so you get stuck or bored let me know  :icon_thumleft:

Yeah similar story here - 5ft 6 and up at 74kg with it all around my upper body. Started swimming two times a week, currently doing 900 metres in 21 mins and some circuit work with weights. However, my diet over here in Nigeria sucks...

6ft1 I was 15 stone 4..... but was only 10% body fat.... only pic i got on me new laptop is this one...
