Pulled over and fined for my plate...
« on: November 22, 2008, 02:21:19 PM »

LOL

at last they've finally busted me, only took 14 years of riding around with letterbox plates on.

coming down a dual carriageway and nailed it through a long tunnel. only to be greeted at the other end by a police bike  banged it down to 50 and almost locked the rear up I was going that quick. pulled me over and I quickly hid my Simpson Diamondback by the front wheel and faced it away from him.

bollocked me about the plate, bollocked me about the Racefit mega, bollocked me for not displaying tax. oh well, gave me the old "if your caught again your bike will be impounded etc." and I was off on my way 30 quid lighter.

bothered? no lol.

I take it he's just talking bollocks then about getting it impounded and DVLA removing my registration.

Somebody told me it's just a 30 quid fine for having no plate at all  :hello2:

With my cherished number plate, if police report it to DVLA and catch me again in 6 months then DVLA can take it and Issue a Q plate! think copper was trying to scare u! normally I get producer at MOT testeing centre have never recieved fine. As for Racefit if they say that's noisey! I normally reply " as far as I am concereded it is in the noise limits" and as law has changed and its all on Db and PC dibble has no testing kit on him there is nothing he can do.

Lads...I hate the old bill as much as every other fecker...but come on...stop giving the copper the hard time!

Everything about that bike says "Please pull me over Mr Policeman"....so why the fuck should he get the grief.  I can't believe we are slamming the copper rather than saying  "Come on mate, you are asking for it, and should have changed the plate a long time ago"

I have a "smaller" plate but well within any limit of getting myself pulled.  And if you gonna take the piss with a plate like that, then at least make sure your bike is 100% straight (i.e no stoopid loud exhaust, no tax disc etc).

...and we wonder why coppers are anti-bikers!  Hmmmm...not fucking quantum physics is it!

PS.  Having a bad day!
