Hi, that’s one place I’ve yet to visit, it’s on my list but not anytime soon unfortunately!

Portimao is fantastic, however my only experience was wet to damp and drying every day. I’d love to do it again in the proper dry.

God luck with the wedding fund and congratulations on getting married 👍

The gen 3 felt a lot like the gen1 to me I loved it but cause I use on the road I wanted something a bit more forgiving , now don’t get me wrong the gen4 is a fantastic bike ones you switch to a quick action throttle and you change the gearing for some more torque , it’s just I have seem to have lost my mojo and it’s not doing me any favours , it’s too different to my original gen1 I helped with so much and it just feels alien , getting on the gen3 beemer was like the gen1 ten but on steroids it was fantastic , fully looking forward to getting out on it ….

No more euros for me this year , would love to do one next year maybe portimeo or even something like Brno , haven’t decided yet , but will all depend on my wedding fund being over budget by the time I would come to boom etc

Glad to hear you’re gonna be tracking it, for sure you will love it.

I let my mate run my gen 3 ten round Almeria and he couldn’t believe how I was able to ride it, he said it felt league’s apart from the BMW, he offered me a ride in return but I declined as couldn’t afford to repair or replace it if I binned it! Wish I’d taken him up on the offer now though, he don’t come to track days any more 🤦‍♂️

I get what your saying to some extent with the gen 4 ten, I’ve beeen tempted to “upgrade” however I’ve not ridden one but my track day buddy has one and I just don’t seem to feel comfortable sitting on it so god knows what it would be like to ride.. it’s put me off, so gonna stick with my old hack for a while longer.

What euro trips you got planned? Gonna do Almeria next year?

We have Jerez in a couple of weeks and then that’s it until March or April next year most likely.

Great bikes, my mates got the HP4 launch model and it is a fantastic pie e of kit. I can only imagine how much the newer ones have come along.

What dragged you away from the Kwak, have you traded in your Gen 4?

I had the gen 4 for a year and did 5 trackdays and just really didn’t gel with it , I did 2 trackdays on the gen1 and it just clicked it’s like I have a mental block with the gen4 it’s so weird , but went out on the gen3 bmw and it just felt more natural and reminded me of how the gen1 ten felt but with insane amounts of power

I really wanted the new gen4 bmw but I just don’t think they are quite there out  the box , pegs need changing , needs a screen and few other bits to get it up to scratch including a better exhaust cause it’s too quiet

The gen 3 I have coming has a few bits , rear sets , akra exhaust , wheels , screen etc

So literally ready to go just need a brake lever guard and I’m ready for the next trackday
