I've just had a flashback of when I collected my 250LC from the dealers, secondhand by the way.   I traded in my Honda MBX125 and it was pissing down, I decided to take to the motorway and even in the heavy rain decided that I'd see how fast it would go, I recall water blowing down the inside of my visor but it did nothing to dampen my determination to get over 100mph, what an arse  [rofl] [rofl] [rofl]  nothings changes now I'm 42 just the model of bike oh and I don't ride in the rain of course  [rofl] [rofl]

17 on my GT 250 tucked behind a wobbly bolt on fibreglass fairing, 110 with a tailwind going to Edinburgh with the 'big boys', 95 on the way home. Heavy and vibrated like a washing machine, but great memories.  :headbang:

Wasn't the old GT the 1st 250 stroker to hit a ton?? Think I read that somewhere.

Best part of that trip was running in the middle of a pack of z650's, z1's and the like, stopped at busy traffic light intersection in the Big Smoke revving away with all the big bikes, ground shaking beneath.......lights turn to green and off they all go leaving me behind having run out of fuel while sitting at the lights, still blipping the throttle on an empty tank..........what a tool  :tongue3:
