Ton up kids
« on: November 05, 2008, 08:47:43 PM »

Riding back from Leicester today in the rain I got a bit nostalgic -  thinking of the first time I did a ton on a motorbike, 18 at the time on a Honda 550 four supersport, it seemed like a really important thing back then suddenly I realiseded it was 25 years ago and got depressed instead... So any other ton up kids? what bike? how long ago?  and were you wearing DM's at the time

1989,  not long had a GPz600R after passing my test. Typical riding gear, leather jacket, jeans, trainers. Seeing the needle at  100 was a magic moment then.

1974, on a nice but roughish 750 Norton Commando fastback, drum brakes all round, tls on the front with an air scoop.  Quite an impressive bike for a 17 year old even if I say so myself.
