autumn/winter is here again
« on: November 02, 2008, 10:22:23 PM »

so with the summer gone who spends the winter off road riding on pushbikes or motocross/green lane etc

I'm missing my Cr250 and it'll have to be next year before I can get another, I'm a crap off road rider but enjoy it 100% as it's just bloody great fun.

so who is spending a winter getting covered in mud and having the time of their life ?

Been out for 5 hours this morning and got completely covered in mud - had a ball  :headbang: For those that don't - go on, try it - gotta be the most fun you can have with your clothes on.

anything maintained Si,  but a 4 stroke 250 NOT a 450 or a 125 stroker and NOT a 250 and you'll have a ball  :headbang:

gutted not to have one this year   however, if I recall correctly Phil is to call me to take a few runs on his Yammy 426  [whistle]

the DRz400 is great for basic green laning type rding but no good as a fun motocross bike as it's a different game .

I tried a Husqvarna TE610 for a year or so and it was fun and then had a Honda Cr250 2001 and bloody hell it was absolutely mental. think of  the 10R being fasr and think again when you jump on a 2 stroke 250 m-x it's scarey as hell and just trying to keep the throttle held right takes some effort for sure and it's bloody brilliant.

If you are thinking of off road riding you must have a good pair of boots to save your ankles and make sure you have good body armour too especally a kidney belt ot you'll regret it fella

Get a 2 stroke 250 and come back and tell us how scarey it is  :headbang:

Yes mate, i rode mine almost every day for 3 years. Not much power off the bottom but when you got it on the pipe  it ripped through the midrange and top end, loads of over rev.

Been doing some Enduro's and Hare & Hound events this past year - bloody brilliant. You think you're fit until you start doing this - man, I used to ache for days after an event...  :tongue3: That KTM EXC 300 is a frikken beast when you give it a handful - still learning to ride it properly - it doesn't like slow and the faster you go, the better it seems to work. Those boys that race these things at championship level have some rather large gonads!!!

Another pic...
