I did the Ride to Arrive thing in October and the Officer who was assesing me was riding it.

There were 2 of us out with him.  For the first part I was following, we got onto a hill with a creeper lane and took off in the fast lane.  This Fiesta, you know the type ( smothered in Super Glue and Ram Raided Halfords) came right up my arse so I pulled in and let him go, to which he got within about 8 feet of the copper on the Gixer and he still didn't realise it was a Cop Bike.

I was laughing in my lid but he didn't pull him over which was a shame.

Find your local constabulary from the Bike Safe webstie and see when they are doing one.

Just noticed that they are advertising on the Bike Safe website that they are doing a weekend event in Cheltenham racecourse.

Sat 31 march
Sun 1 April

If anyone is interested.  I'll probably go along as anything that can help me stay alive whilst on the bike is welcome in my view.

Anyone else fancy it?

I quite fancy doing the "First Bike on Scene" course as well.  This is first aid training geared towards motorcyclist who are the first on the scene of a bike accident.  I think the main idea is to prepare you for the event to stay calm, collected and do the correct things in the correct procedure.  I would hope to never use it, but just to be on the safe side I'd like to be in control of myself should the worst happen.

also clocked a Honda civic, one of them with the spoilers etc sporty thing? at jcn 24-25 m1?  didnt get the reg but think it was a 54 plate? :icon_puke_r:
