who has owned one...

I have ridden the R1 and the blade now just not the gixxer

I want to know best views on them..... this will be a bike to use more often to keep the miles down on my ten... gonna keep my ten for special hoons

i`v been on all these and like the R1 but none seem to have the raw power delivery of a ZX10, the gixer 750  seems to be the way forward for the road although i did`nt like it when i road one feels to soft.
Will be some cracking winter deals on the gsxr and the R1 both are good bikes to be fair.

not looking for raw power to be honest just summit a bit different for use as a road/track bike that I won't care to much for.... but is easy to go fast on  :icon_thumleft:

Maybe something like a supermoto/super duke. give you different riding position, a lot of fun factor and different power delivery from rotax. Just a thought.

I've ridden all 3 as mates have owned them - i think the riding position on all of them is too upright compared to the 10 but if i were buying one i would DEFINITELY go with the Gixxer (lots of grunt) then R1. Blade looks nice imo but is FAR too slow for a thou and doesn't shit you up as much as the others.  :icon_thumleft:

Will be even better deals come early next year when the new crop of  09 bikes are in the showrooms, mega deals on tasty 08 tackle.

surely it's a K5/6 everytime......... I've not ridden one but have only ever seen huge repect for the abilities of them and never a bad word  :icon_thumright:  albeit wheelbarrows are really cheap now  :dontknow:

everyone seems to think I want to slow down.... far from it...... I want summit different to give me a bit more experience... bit more varity ...

not wanting an upright bike ....

we'll see .... I am pretty skint at the minute so only a pipe dream really just wanna see whats cheap and what is good  :icon_thumleft:

Well if it's variety you're after why buy another IL4 sports bike - how about something different like say an RSV1000 ?    :dontknow:

what do you want to get from a different bike exactly?  You'll find that the gixxer has a better spread of power lower down especially when fitted with the TRE which makes throttle response crisp,  but I don't see what you'll get from it really. :icon_scratch:  Try a twin ie a Mille and see what you think of that I know I enjoyed having the triple lasst year as something different.
