it will work in some countries like here in the netherlands where they use that system, in the uk they use sensors on top of the lights to do the same thing and so can see motorbikes, morover at night if you flash your lights whilst approaching the lights it miscounts the number of vehicles and changes colour too.

they do use rd sensors here too ive been stuck at a few lights where i live ,if u look on the rds thers a oblong patch across the rds ner some lights
