Got my forks and steering damper back yesterday from K-Tech after being revalved. Everything back fitted ok, havent test ridden the bike yet but the steering damper is a monumental improvement from before.

When just moving the bars from side to side even a couple of clicks either way, there's a noticeable difference in the amount of resistance. Where previously you could go from full on to full off and hardly feel the difference, now it goes from loose to almost rock solid in pronounced stages.   

Looking forward to trying the bike and see how good the forks are over standard.

had mine re-valved ages ago also.. made so much difference. 18 clicks now locks the steering almost.

glad you've got it soprted,  it's strange that Kawasaki always seem to mess the steering damper up isn't it    i.e. there isn't one on the 04/05 and like you say the 08 is pants with little or no difference between off and full on

I'm guessing part of the reason the standard damper is crap is down to liability/litigation fears. Kawasaki put the damper on the 06 onwards after calls from the public that the bikes needed one. But they've only made it a 'token' gesture in my opinion so that the numpties out there (and there are plenty of them) cant screw it up and claim against Kawasaki.

Could be other reasons though.
