On leaving a trackday this yearat silverstone, we noticed a group of guys from the RAF parked outside on bikes all wearing the same t-shirt over their leathers which was supporting the MND Association, they'd decided to visit all the circuits on the BSB calendar within 48 hrs, which ranges as far as knockhill and as south as Brands Hatch, so not really as easy as you think. They'd done this to raise awareness of the disease and to raise money for the charity to which the money goes to supporting people diagnoesed and carer's etc. it touched us deeply after losing my dad to the disease and they'd done this in support of one of their friends who was dying too.
Pretty good idea, just food for thought. I mean, you don't have to visit all the circuits like they did, maybe somthing simular like landmarks or historic places? Go through the proper channels, get the sponser forms from the charity etc of your choice and bingo! Jobs a good'un. Go raise some money people.  :icon_thumright:

Thats a great idea....

Or...why not attend EVERY BSB round...with t-shirts and collecting buckets.  We'd make a packet for whatever charity...get loads of awareness and probably make the Telly (Eurosport)....

Just idea storming....

or................

1. Agree in a charity to support initially, set a poll here

2. Agree who's interested in it, are there 100 ?  or only 10 ?

3. Contact the charity ref T shirts to wear

4. Plan some meets for next year where we all wear t shirts and collect for a charity at the bike meets where we have a big audience
5. Contact bike press to advise of the plans to gain some coverage

6. Setup a just giving account and promote like hell

7. Agree on a figure to aim for is key to knowing when the objective is met

just a few thoughts and I'll do what I can   :icon_thumright:

We would probably have to agree with the land owners of meets to be allowed to collect.

any charity should have advice for colecting on their behalf as im sure there are rules that have to be followed.
and somewher with a big field for us to celebrate when said target is raised.
