That looks really nice Drew.
Are you happy with the quality mate.
Wonder if they will make the rest of the bellypan eventually. I dont see any other companies doing that rear part or the bellypan.

Looks like a quality bit of kit, really goes well with tha carbon Racefit.  :icon_thumright:

Now go & find out if they do a hugger & replace that hideous oversized lump of plastic that the factory saw fit to stick on !   [wall]

Does the Growler really need the upper hanger bracket?

Fast,
Thanks for the heads up on Jim looking at doing the belly pan. What a service !!, there is no one doing a belly pan for 08 or that rear part.
r1ninja, yip in my opinon it needs the upper hanger mate, the rear belly pan cosmetic cover is just bolted onto tag welds on the growler pipe, the growler pipe is pure slipon to the oem pipe, a sleeve fitting, no compression banjo fitting, just a bit of silicon sealant and slipped over, the fitting it made to measure!!. There is a tension spring from the pipe onto metal U fitting that goes onto a bolt already there from when original boom box was there, so that holds tension on the fitting, stop it sliding off. Even thought the growler can and link pipe are only about 850 gms, still think a bit dodgy to do without upper clamp. Not an Engineer though!.

my sheild brkts have never been spot on ,on the growler.. i have tried bending them into a better fit and was ok with orig shield but way off with new carbon one. luckily i know a s##t hot welder who re welded the brkt near the rear wheel back on for me and as im a polisher you wouldnt even know it had been moved so it is now spot on...

Be nice to know if he can do a longer belly pan for the 06/07. I want one that runs back to the rear tyre like the 04/05 race belly pan does and comes up around the swingarm like the GP bikes.

actually there's a company called PIT-ECK in America that trade on ebay, they do a host of carbon parts for the 08 bike but the quality doesnt look as good as the King Carbon stuff.

Drew,
My rear panel went on, spot on with the growler not adjustment required.
Its a bit worrying that the KC panel required re-welding of the rear bracket on the growler pipe, thats a bit offputting. why wouldnt the holes be in the same place in the mould as the originals!!.
Hammy, I can't see KC doing a re-design full belly pan, yeah it's a great idea to have a similar one to the one I had on my 05, a full enclosed race type with lowered sump, that looked really evil.
