recent got given a MAC Book at work.... getting to grips with whether I could live with it instead of windoze....

any one know any cool stuff for it

depends what you want to do with it, theres loadsa stuff for making music like garageband, there are some nice graphics progs for it, a couple of terminal apps that are a must have.

for a start it always nice to have ilife, garageband, blowfish, macmame for your old console games, transmit ftp client, textwrangler for your programming scripts or language based, toast for burning, vlc video player, isquint for format conversion i.e avi - mpeg, wav-mp3,rbrowser for your ssh access

and loads more

Most useful thing I've come across is desktop manager - http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/12682

Lets you run multiple screens & easily flip between them.

cheers fella .... was looking for summit to help with image graphics.... I don't really like gimp or inkcape .... too used to paint shop pro X is there anything like that ... otherwise I can see QEMU coming out

the closest to paint-shop pro on the mac would be adobe photoshop (i know u get it on the pc as well) It works pretty well or you can go for corel draw which isnt quite as good, appeture is excellent for photo editing(in fact all i use for photo editing).

I assume you know how to get stuff from the newsgroups, if not pm me and i will walk u through how to get all the progs you need

oh also something i forgot, give comic life a try, its a bit of a fun app and then you can change your sig into a weekly comic strip
