How long
« on: September 23, 2008, 09:10:32 PM »

if you are out in a group and you realise that someone has dropped off, how long do you leave it before you turn back or call them, or do you just carry on to your destination?

Went out with my otherhalf and 3 of his mates last night I wont bunch up with them  (and I'm not the fastest rider anyways) they overtook a car I got stuck then they left me, I thought they might have waited at the roundabout but no.  It was 40 min before I got a call asking where I was.

When I have been out in groups before we always put the newest rider or slowest bike second and they set the pace or if there are some really quick ones they hoon and wait at the next junction.

The odd cage getting in the way when your trying to make good progress and keep up with mates does pi55 you off slightly!  [wall] [wall] For our local runs most know where they are going however the odd pull in is needed. Its a right pi55er when you get held up by some clot that runs out of gogo juice  [rofl] [rofl] [rofl]  twice in 2 ride outs!!

always wait at next junction 10 minutes is usually enough for a catch up , someone would go back to see .... but we're all pretty well versed in our groups we ride with

got a m8 with a K5 thou said he'd come out
well fuck me......he hangs back at least 20 bike lengths.....by the time i've overtaken he's just woke up & missed his chance
i had to stop every 5 mins & theres only 2 of us :icon_scratch:
we left minehead 2gether on the way back........by the time i've got to taunton i had to wait 10 mins...........he got stuck behind 3 coaches!! :dontknow:.......yep! i did say he was riding a K5 thou

At least he isn't glued to your back wheel.  Plenty of times i've seen someone overtake and the rider behind goes too  without looking and has a close escape. You'll be hanging around a lot more than 10 mins if you have to wait fore the Ambulance
