Was looking at supermotos, cos you can chuck a set of off road wheels on and go green laning through the winter  :icon_thumright:

Going to have a look at a couple of Husky's the weekend, FE501 and a FS650  :icon_thumright:

i've had 3 husky 610's 2 of which were road going supermotads and one full on mx witch had a ohlins rear shock.plus i've had 2 410's too.
i fucking loved them the mx vertion was great until it threw the second gear selector fork at the time the husky brantch in europe somewhere was on their anual leave which is a month so missed out on a months werth of racing but when i eventually got it fixed it was awsome ,to be fair too much power for the piddly little tracks around here, but gusses gorge it used to fly, but then i got pissed off buy bieng passed buy the sports bikes so sold the lot but would consider another though as a winter hack :icon_thumright:

Wouldn`t say so...Same as any bike. Usual stuff....If looking at an older one (two valve head) be aware that these engines are rattly anyway,so don`t be alarmed by it. just makes it harder to listen for unwanted noises.

yes !

get one with Electric start to save a load of hassle  i.e  an 'e' model. i had one for a while and sold it as it was far to big for riding off road for me. Also, the carb can be a bugger so always turn the fuel off when stopped.  check the bolts from the sde panels into the fuel tank (if there are any) haven't been screwed in too far as the can run into the tank causing a lea and new tanks are very expensive , not many available second hand check everything is screwed together and ask about loctiting as when I collected mine the back end fell off on the way home, the big singles have a lot of vibrations !  finally remeber that spares are very expensive with only one supplier in the country who charges the earth for spares !!

My 2nd bike would be and now is an original RGV250 !

For an everyday bike, I've always liked the look of the '93/94 VFR750..........should be able to pick one up for loose change now too !!

I got kick start only!!! Can be a real bugger to start sometimes...Especially as the kicker is on the left and I am right footed......  But  then it doesn`t have a battery either so electric boot would be no use anyway.   :tongue3:
