jap cars are cack! yes there reliable but slow, apart from evo`s or scoobys but the general cars are rubbish.
anyone ever driven a civic type r? what a piece of shit! but there bikes are ace

the only  japanese car that has real soul in my humble opinion is the new skyline, it is a totally focused sports car, not a souped up saloon car or a modded farm vehicle, a true focused car...I would have one if I didnt know my licence would not last a year....

I used to have an XKR and that thing was a true speed demon, unlike other cars with 400BHP (it has a bit more now though) and an auto box it really was possible to do 0-60 in 4.9 seconds every time you drove it....try to do a good 0-60 in anything with a manual, i took a diablo out at the same time when i was looking at the cars and whilst it could do 0-60 in 3.9 seconds, you could do it maybe three times if you were good before the clutch was fooked...I know audi have made them better but bet they still chew up clutches a lot...it just wasnt worth the 120k it cost in 2000....so I bought the XKR...66,000 in 2000 ouch...it lasted 2 years and gained me 13 points on my licence, all in the space of 12 months, I had to tippy toe around for a year...still a lovely car...

I am thinking about a new car and the three that I like are the skyline but wont keep my licence, the Jag XF and the Mercedes CLS....all very different cars but will take me some time to decide. I still like my old 520i and my pick up truck is perfect for towing the jetski and other paraphernalia.

So after all that...the nissan is the best road based sports car out today...thats my opinion...and I havent even driven one yet...

yes the skyline is a great car as with the nsx, but anyone ever driven a rx8? felt really slow to me think they say there 270bhp but did`nt feel quick at all.
the run of the mill stuff like civic`s ect i just think are really boring to drive.
My next car i will probably own will be an evo 8 fq340.

I could afford an evo 9 FQ360 or even just about the evo 10 but a lower model , but to me they are just to plasticy . its not just about being a driving machine with me .. it has to have all the refinement,luxery and gadgetry as well

I have been trying to tell GR to get a jap car


base m6 price is 85 grand
base R35 price is around 50 grand

m6 does 0-60 in about 4.7 seconds
R35 does it in 3.5

I now have a better opinion of the M cars, but i would still rather drive a jap car, I cant stand BMW and AUDI making these luxury sports cars, kinda pointless

The one thing that kills performance..............

Weight

M6 weighs fecking loads, it is essentially a challenger tank, with a smaller engine and no armour.

And lets face it the R35 was quicker than a porsche round the nurburgring

R35 7:29 on stock tires
911 GT 2 7:32.02 on semi slicks  

Also the RX8 only comes in 2 flavours:

192Bhp
231Bhp

Jap cars rock, simple and focused, the EVO is not cluttered with unecessary shite. like a TV or heated reclining leather armchairs. They are simple and to the point and generally have a car that will have the same performance as something costing twice as much,

I refer people back to the top gear episode where Clarkson in an Evo drove against a lamborghini murcielago, Evo costs about 38 grand Lambo costs bout 8 times that (rough guess)

Could the lambo lose the Evo? not really, Evo was up its arse all day long round the corners.

Cause it doesnt weigh 3 tonnes because it isnt laden with crap im never gonna use.

Oh and the CLK black is beaten by the R35 aswell, by nearly a second to 60, top speed it has it beaten as well, and the R35 has less power, costs less and looks better.

well they aint that fast, i had one sitting beside me at the lights on friday he wet off at a hellof a rate wheels spinning and everything and i took off at a leisurely pace cause i couldnt be assed racing and still left him behind

sorry lies...... my M3 when I want to keeps most bikes in sight .... and I leave most bikes in the bends as some bikers lose bottle at 130 in a bend
