...and as some of you are well traveled I need some tips on a dirty romantic week for me and the missus. It's our 10th anniversary in Jan and we want to do a second honey moon over in Europe. Along the lines of a nice chateux or nice quiet place out of the cities.

Any ideas?

don't go to venice its a bit of a let down to be honest ... as was paris ...... i reckon prague would be amazing

been looking at Viena, switzerland, austria but it's difficult give me Africa and I'll name 10 places of the top of my head that would bo good to go to. But don't know europe.  The joke has allready been said in the house about going to Jerez Praque sounds nice was looking at that as well.

We want to do the winter thing which we've never done rather than some safari or beach sun thing.

mate I have been to levi that was beautiful mate was a bit expensive but am not sure if it is winter season properly yet , we did the xmas thing there and skiing for a couple of days .... was one of the best holiday's i have been on.....

cheers G I'll have a look. Yhe problem is I prefer some one to recommend as every looks great on line or in the brocheures and when you get there it is next to a toxic waste dump or something just as bad.
bit nervous of skiing I messed my knee up early this year snow boarding and it kept me of teh bike for about 6 weeks and still gives me grief so I don't want to risk missing bike time again.

Prague is nice but is getting expensive, Bratislava is very similar but much cheaper. Further west Salzburg is very nice, also pretty quiet  ,  Copenhagen aint bad (tivoli gardens is very romantic at night  ) Down side is Denmark is fookin expensive........

Does it have to be in Europe?  Why not do a something like Marakesh or even Dubai?  Weather will be warm to in January...

If you deffo must go Europe, then there is lots of places but its going to be cold....so why not do a short Ski trip.  Austria, Switzerland are brill (most resorts) and France...you could do the 3 valleys in France where you get the best Apres Ski.  Bars, Restuarants, Nightlife..and some of the best scenary ever.  I think a candlelight dinner, in a nice restuarant with the mountains behind you and a good glass of wine.  Nothing better imo.

Warsaw/Krakow (I liked it but not everyones liking)
Barcelona
Brussels
Paris

Fabulous place is Reykjavik...wonderful place but extremely expensive once you get there (as everything is imported).  But simple fabulous and the missus will love it.  Champagne at night, in the natural warm spa pool.  Oh yes....

To be honest...maybe half the romance would be going somewhere completely different and trying something new. (and I don't mean bum sex)...
