2009 R1
« on: September 09, 2008, 12:44:22 PM »

Just been looking at some pics of next years R1. OK so I am a happy owner of an 07 10r but its taken alot of flack for its 'wheelbarrow' exhaust. Don't know what you guys think but Yamaha have always done well in the past with the R1 style design so I just wondered what others thought of it.

Yamaha's R1 is probably the best looking underseat exhaust model but this is a backward step if you ask me.

I think it'll be awesome, seemed to have centralized the mass for better handling etc , gonna be a good fight between all the thou's again next year, the Blade will have a fight on it's hands.

yes that looks shit but theres nothing yamaha can do about are gay emission laws, but just think what it would look like with a full system?
the r1 has and will always be a great bike personally i think one of the best looking bikes out there.
But and its a big but i cant get on with one i dont think the front end is as good as the zx10r. Could just be me and my riding style.
