This happened weeks ago, all the staff at the factory were sacked without pay and the place has been shut ever since.

It seems Micron had neglected to raise their prices to account for the increased cost of raw materials and this has hurt them badly.

Sad news indeed.

sadly I think this is going to be the way for a number of companies over the next 12-24 months...tough times ahead...costs rising and no one has the money to pay for it...tough times indeed...

this is very ture i first heard the rumors back in june, they said there car exhausts was going great but the motorcycle was shit and loosing money so i think its just the bike side that has closed.

As far as i know micron is just a trading name for the bikes i think the whole company is massive they do all sorts of things.

been lookin for that but nothing yet but if as said above the rest of the company is doing fine then they probably sold to themselves and will keep them at the same price, maybe even at a premium since they will be so much more rare

apparently so, amongst other things I believe they supplied backing plates to EBC for brake pads.  (As far as I know EBC are ok and have other suppliers in place.)

Guess in that case the bike side may still be a viable concern & sold off by the administrators, so maybe not dead & buried yet  :dontknow:
