do I or dont I
« on: August 22, 2008, 04:32:55 PM »

I have been toying with getting into the clasic parts and bikes market.....I have been offered over 20 triples from the states all either complete or mostly complete bikes either for restoration or for parts only...shall I do it or not...I dont have the time really but it would be a bit of fun...

just won a deal at work that gives me more per month profit than it wikll cost me to buy these bikes...hmm am very tempted...

depends on what triples they are I suppose as I wouldn't expect much of a market for KH250's but planty for 500/750's

Go for it I reckon, you know it makes sense to take a big piece of that market and you probably already know if there's demand albeit there will always be demand for older stuff of course as we all grow older we like to grab a bit of the past don't we  :icon_thumright:

You'll be competing with Rick Brett who's well established in that game. There's also some others regularly importing triples and punting them on EBay but they don't tend to be as well selected as Ricks (who goes on long trips around the USA sourcing bikes).

Having said that, the price of decent H1s & H2s has been very strong over the last few years so it could be a good thing.

Course, you probably knew all that :)

Well he's probably got even more now (70+ IIRC)

Might be worth having a look around the UK triples forum:

http://www.kawasakitriplesuk.info/

(Which is actually called RB's forum :))

Oh... and purleeze don't try and sell me any - three's enough and if I buy another one it will be a Widowmaker cos she'll kill me  [rofl]
