Number PLates...Usual Question
« on: August 14, 2008, 02:44:12 PM »

After a few weeks of putting it off and off... I need to get the Duke through its MOT and the only thing left to do is a legal size number plate....

Is it the Lettering that has to be right size or the whole number plate?

I have aplate that I'm gonna swap it to once its passed, but worried that if I stick a standrd plate on its, it will obscure the indicators on the bracket so want a slightly smaller one but with stanadrd size letting?

Anyone help?

not always, no need for a 9x7 if you only got a 6 digit reg, would look daft with a 3inch yellow border around it  ;-)

to be fair as long as you can read it from 20 feet  it should be ok ?but the law now states has to be a cetain size ?but the mot law doesn't ? its a conflict of interest ?so fuck it i got a small fucker ? and a legal one for mot's ?

My 7x5 has been through 3 MOTs and never been failed....And no, the examiner hasn't been a mate...Been different every time  :icon_thumright:

I haven't taken the piss with the lettering though....It's a standard font.
