its just r1 clutches that dog shit, dont know how any one can say suzukis have good gear boxes, for every other make bike i have done two suzuki`s. My racing buddy has a k5 1000 and he`s had two third gears.
the early suzuki`s were very bad. But all bikes have there bad points.

Latest Update!!

Last night we fitted a new clutch assembly, as the bike is a tuned track/road bike we dicided to install a Barnett Race clutch and springs, all went as planned ( a bit worried about all the blue instant gasket everywhere )

The engine oil was replaced with Motul 5100 semi synthetic and not fully synthetic to reduce the risk of clutch slippage

Unfortunatley the weather was crap so the test ride was reduced to a couple of laps around the block in the pouring ran, everything is working fine so far, but the bike needs a proper test ride  :headbang:

Today the weather was superb, sorted an early finish from work and took the bike out !!

No problems everything is working fine, the bike pulls like a train with no clutch slippage

The big test will be Saturday at Donnington
