so it just smooths the air flow out it doesnt actually let more in , as its the same diameter it cant really  :roll: . so i guess with a little bit of time and work u could smooth out the insides of a OE one

we shall see , i'm booked in for a dyno next week and at the moment it pushes out 169 bhp at rear wheel , dave jenkins who i had them off ( adam jenkins brother races bsb ) says they give bags more torque lower down.  :icon_thumright:

Dunno mate. The airbox doesn't look like a particularly good design. When you look at the dirt pattern on a filter it just seems to be using the ends.

Isn't it more to do with tuning the airflow ?

The latest R1 has variable length stacks that adjust height with the revs, so this seems to me like a compromise, ie. a couple of cylinders are optimised for mid range & a couple for high end ?    :dontknow:
